Why so many women look for it
For a lot of women it comes down to feeling safe. Massage usually means undressing to some degree and lying still for an hour, and many women find that easier with a female therapist and nobody else around.
For others it is about their body at a particular time: pregnancy, the months after a baby, the menopause, or after an illness or an operation. Clients tell me that after the first few minutes they forgot to be self-conscious.

Women-only and pregnancy
Pregnancy massage is my specialism. Your shape changes from week to week, and you lie on your side with cushions under your bump, so having one female therapist and a private room makes the whole thing simpler.
