All my appointments are with women. No mixed booking schedules, no shared waiting area. When you arrive, the studio is entirely yours.
Clients tell me the same thing after their first visit: they forgot to be self-conscious. That does not happen in every room.
I have run the studio this way from the start. One therapist, one woman at a time: it is not a policy, it is the whole point.
About Fran and the studio
Pregnancy massage,
from the second trimester
You lie on your side, supported with cushions, with no pressure on the abdomen at any point. The work eases the lower back, hips and legs: the areas that carry most of the load as your posture shifts.
I hold FHT-accredited pregnancy massage training. If it is your first massage in pregnancy, a 30-minute taster at £35 covers the back, hips and legs, enough to know whether it helps before you commit to a full hour.
Eight treatments,
one quiet room
Every treatment is one-to-one with me in the log cabin studio: no assistants, no changeover, the same hands every visit. Full-body treatments run 60 or 90 minutes; Indian head starts at 20 minutes.

not a salon
The treatment room is a log cabin in my garden, detached from the house, reached by its own path. There is no waiting room shared with other women, no background noise from a reception desk, no reminder that you are anywhere except here.
The table is positioned for comfort in all postures, including pregnancy side-lying. The room holds warmth. It is quiet in the way that only a room built for one purpose can be.

from across North Staffordshire
The studio sits in a quiet garden in Stoke-on-Trent, an easy drive from across the area. Women travel to me from Newcastle-under-Lyme, Stafford and the surrounding towns.
Newcastle-under-Lyme is around ten minutes away, Stafford around twenty. A women-only studio with the same therapist every visit is worth a little further than the nearest high-street salon, and most women tell me the quiet garden setting is part of why they keep coming back.
