Some women do not want their back touched. Some are not comfortable undressing for a stranger, at least not yet. Some have an injury, or a condition, or simply a preference. Reflexology is a full treatment that works around all of this, because everything happens at the feet.

You lie fully clothed. Socks and shoes come off. I work through specific pressure points on the feet, using my thumbs and fingers in deliberate patterns that correspond to different areas of the body.

The session takes an hour. Women tend to leave feeling deeply relaxed and, they often say, lighter.

FHT-registered: reflexology listed on the public register against my name.

What reflexology is, and what I will not promise you

Reflexology is focused pressure-point work on the feet and lower legs. The theory is that areas of the foot correspond to organs and systems elsewhere in the body, and that working those points influences how the corresponding area feels.

The honest version: the evidence for specific physiological effects is limited, and I am not going to dress it up otherwise. Every competitor you look at will make claims I am not prepared to repeat.

What is well-supported: reflexology is deeply relaxing. Many women find it reduces the sense of heaviness and fatigue they carry, helps them sleep better that night, and leaves them feeling more settled.

I have been practising it since my training, and it is on the FHT public register against my name. You can check that yourself at fht.org.uk/users/gregory159094.

If you want a treatment that works on a specific muscle, book a massage. If you want an hour of focused, skilled bodywork that happens entirely at your feet and leaves you feeling like you have switched something off, this is the right page.

What happens during your session

You arrive and we do a short consultation. For new women this is a form and a brief conversation: any health conditions, what you are hoping for, anything your feet need me to know about (cracked heels, sensitivity, recent injury).

Then you lie back, fully clothed, and I work through the soles, heels, toes and the tops of the feet in a specific sequence. The pressure is firm and intentional. This is not a foot tickle.

I work across the whole foot, spending more time where there is sensitivity or where you have asked me to focus.

Most women are surprised by how much they feel in the rest of the body during a reflexology session. Whether that is the zone theory working or simply that concentrated, skilled touch at the feet feeds up through the whole nervous system, the outcome is usually the same: they feel better.

At 90 minutes, there is time to work more slowly and thoroughly through the full sequence, including the lower legs.

Who books reflexology

  • Not ready to undress. The most common reason: "I want a proper treatment but I am not ready to undress." That is a completely reasonable position, and reflexology answers it without compromise.
  • Massage was too much. Women who have tried massage and found it too much on the body, or who are managing a health condition that means a full-body treatment is not right for them. Reflexology gives them a serious treatment option.
  • Back for more. Women who have had reflexology before, found a therapist they trusted, and want that again with someone they know is properly qualified.

The women-only part

One door, one therapist, one table. The only people who have ever been in this cabin are women. You do not need to explain why that matters to you.

Reflexology works best when you can actually relax. You can.
